What’s fare is fare: Metro GM cracks down on free rides

Metro’s new general manager is cracking down on what is one of the most flagrant violations on the system – fare evasion. Randy Clarke says, starting next month, Metro Transit Police will start fining people who jump the turnstiles, go around the gates, and don’t tap their card boarding Metro buses. We talk with NBC4 Transportation reporter Adam Tuss about the layers to the arguments around this issue and why Clarke is moving on this ahead of the opening of the Silver Line extension.
