The San Diego-based company said it had a loss of $1.36 per share. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and non-recurring costs, were 13 cents per share.
The medical diagnostics company posted revenue of $630.9 million in the period.
QuidelOrtho expects full-year earnings in the range of 65 cents to 90 cents per share, with revenue in the range of $2.52 billion to $2.6 billion.
