WATERLOO, Ontario (AP) — WATERLOO, Ontario (AP) — BlackBerry Ltd. (BB) on Thursday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $13.7 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Waterloo, Ontario-based company said it had net income of 2 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and restructuring costs, came to 5 cents per share.
The cybersecurity software and services company posted revenue of $141.8 million in the period.
For the current quarter ending in February, BlackBerry expects its per-share earnings to range from 3 cents to 5 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $138 million to $148 million for the fiscal fourth quarter.
BlackBerry expects full-year earnings in the range of 14 cents to 16 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $531 million to $541 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company’s shares hit $4.33. A year ago, they were trading at $3.01.
