On a per-share basis, the Marietta, Georgia-based company said it had net income of 20 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 45 cents per share.
The building products distributor posted revenue of $748.9 million in the period.
BlueLinx shares have fallen 38% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $63.78, a fall of 42% in the last 12 months.
