On a per-share basis, the Charleston, South Carolina-based company said it had profit of 98 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.10 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.07 per share.
The software and services provider in the nonprofit sector posted revenue of $281.1 million in the period.
Blackbaud expects full-year earnings in the range of $4.30 to $4.50 per share, with revenue in the range of $1.12 billion to $1.13 billion.
Blackbaud shares have fallen 13% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 26% in the last 12 months.
