On a per-share basis, the McLean, Virginia-based company said it had profit of $1.86. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs, came to $2.16 per share.
The government health services provider posted revenue of $1.35 billion in the period.
Maximus expects full-year earnings in the range of $7.35 to $7.55 per share, with revenue in the range of $5.38 billion to $5.48 billion.
