Jet’s Pizza, the purveyor of Detroit-style pies, continues to expand across Northern Virginia with a planned location in Herndon.
Franchisee Dan Kosztowny confirmed he has inked a lease to open at 905 Herndon Parkway, in a space formerly occupied by a Great Clips. It will be Kosztowny’s third Jet’s in Northern Virginia, following stores in Alexandria and, most recently, Annandale.
Detroit-style pizza is rectangular, or square, and deep-dish, with a chewy crust, cheese spread to the edges of the pan, and layers of sauce on top. Jet’s, founded in 1978 as Jetts Party Shop & Pizzeria, also serves a New York-style and hand-tossed round pizza, wings, calzones and salads.
Kosztowny has filed initial food and fire permit applications with Fairfax County for the newest location, which will sit between Potbelly and Grill Kabob.
