Marriott International Inc. (NASDAQ: MAR) and MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) are delaying the integration of their customer loyalty programs until early 2024.
Bethesda-based Marriott confirmed to me on Monday night the delay of the tie-up of its Bonvoy program with BetMGM Rewards, which will allow Bonvoy members to use points for stays at MGM properties — including 12 Vegas resorts like the Bellagio Resort & Casino and the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. The process was initially expected to be completed sometime this month.
“Marriott International and MGM Resorts International are creating an extraordinary experience for our loyalty members with the introduction of MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy,” Marriott said in a statement. “Our two companies are excited to deliver world-class offerings and benefits for our guests. We look forward to debuting MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy by early 2024.”
