The Santa Clara, California-based company said it had net income of 14 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 43 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 39 cents per share.
The data storage company posted revenue of $861 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $845.8 million.
