Viewpoint: A distributed workforce means a diverse set of priorities — and needs

It’s Monday, 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. You begin your weekly Zoom with your distributed team. The East Coast is well into its morning while the West Coast is just grabbing its first cup of coffee. For your European team, it’s 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. For the Israelis and Ukrainians, it’s already 5 p.m., so some are calling in with their children in the background. Your team in India has already finished family dinner, their kids are in bed and they’re ready to begin a quiet evening or head out for a drink. The folks in Sydney, Australia, are already asleep. They will listen to the recording tomorrow.
