Genetworx, a private equity-backed clinical diagnostics lab in Glen Allen, is looking to buy or partner with other such laboratories to scale “a national platform.”
“As we look to the future of diagnostic testing, partnering with other laboratories will expand accessibility to patients and, ultimately, improve patient outcomes,” Steve Crossley, CEO for Genetworx, said in a statement.
Genetworx specializes in molecular pathogen and genetic testing that offers information for precision medicine and treatments.
The company swelled in size during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic has it offered testing services. It doubled the size of its Cox Road offices last year to keep up with Covid testing demand, according to Richmond BizSense.
