Leidos CEO and Chairman Roger Krone to retire

Roger Krone, the current chairman and CEO of Leidos Holdings Inc. (NYSE: LDOS), is retiring from the Reston government contractor, the company said Monday.

Thomas Bell, the current chairman and CEO of Reston’s Rolls-Royce North America, will succeed Krone as CEO.

Krone will retire as CEO at the company’s annual stockholder meeting set for May 3, at which time Bell’s appointment will take effect. Leidos said it expects to appoint Robert Shapard, a current board member, as the company’s new independent nonexecutive chairman after the meeting. Bell will also be nominated to the board at that time.

To ease the transition, Krone will stay with Leidos as a full-time employee until the end of July and be a part-time adviser to the company until the end of March 2024.
