These space industry companies have raised nearly $1M for Ukraine

Herndon data analytics firm HawkEye 360 Inc., along with the National Security Space Association (NSSA), has convened a group of space industry companies to send humanitarian aid to Ukrainians impacted by the war.

The Space Industry for Ukraine (SIFU) initiative, announced this week, is so far a group of around 20 companies that have each promised to donate $50,000 toward sending medical and food supplies and other aid to Ukraine and Poland. Certified nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) will manage the aid projects, SIFU said in a statement, although it wasn’t clear what particular NGOs that would include.
