In its latest dispatch of fastest-growing companies, the Inc. 5000 has identified 86 D.C.-area companies that made its Mid-Atlantic list for 2022, comprising the bulk of that region’s total revenue and new jobs added.
In all, 130 companies from Pennsylvania to North Carolina are on the overall Mid-Atlantic list, representing 162% median growth across the last two years and totaling $2 billion in revenue and 7,426 jobs added. Of them, 27 are new startups, while 50 are repeat listers.
In comparison, the D.C. region’s companies on the list saw 165% median two-year growth, with a combined $1.2 billion in revenue and 5,186 jobs added. Fifteen were newly founded, and 42 were repeats.
The entire list was led by a Richmond company, Summit Human Capital, an IT and human relations firm that recorded 3,677% growth across the prior two years, the highest by far.
