At the very start of the pandemic, Catherine Dargan instituted a family movie night. That’s become a tradition, though there are more family members gathered around the TV these days — Dargan’s parents now live with her, after her 82-year-old mother recently suffered a series of serious strokes and her 92-year-old father had his own health setbacks.
“It’s been a challenge to navigate in caring for my parents, being active in my kids’ lives and managing a very busy career,” says Dargan, a corporate attorney and partner who in 2021 took on the demanding new role of leading Covington & Burling LLP’s corporate and mergers and acquisitions practices. “I really couldn’t do it without an incredible husband and sister and really loving kids.”
