Inova Health System has a new leader of its Fair Oaks hospital.
The Falls Church-based health system has named Dr. Raj Chand president of Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, where he’s been chief medical officer since July 2020 after a dozen years as a doctor there.
His appointment, effective Monday, comes just a couple of months after the interim leader at that facility, Susan Carroll, became permanent president of Inova Loudoun Hospital. She succeeded Deborah Addo, who left the Loudoun location in July after seven years in the role. Carroll has been with Inova Health System for nearly 24 years.
Chand joined the Fair Oaks medical staff in 2009 as an emergency medicine physician. He served as medical director of the acute-care facility’s emergency department for four years. For six years, he was also president of Virginia Emergency Medicine Associates — a physician group that staffs hospitals throughout Northern Virginia, including Inova’s.
