Welcome (back) to Crane Watch, the Washington Business Journal’s interactive map of our region’s biggest developments under construction right now.

Our map, as of this writing, is dotted with more than 60 projects covering most corners of the D.C. area. Some broke ground as recently as a few weeks ago. Others have been underway since we first launched Crane Watch six years ago. (Click here to visit the map)

These endeavors have a total value likely topping $20 billion — $17.6 billion is the sum of the developments for which we know the cost, and we’re missing the value for roughly a third of them.

Nevertheless, it’s a lot.
