The Urban Land Institute has chosen a new executive director for its D.C.-area chapter just a little more than a month after former director Liz Price left to be Metro’s head real estate.
Deb Kerson Bilek will lead ULI Washington beginning Nov. 15, the organization said Tuesday. Bilek previously served as ULI’s vice president for advisory services, a job on ULI’s national team, as well as senior director of community outreach for ULI Washington. In the national role, she managed the advisory services panel program, which made the switch to all-virtual and hybrid events during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Before joining ULI, Bilek served as a transportation planner for the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and was a Presidential Management Fellow, among other roles. She has a bachelor’s in anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis and a master’s in public administration from New York University.
