Honoree: Kathryn Falk

Kathryn Falk says that on a scale of 100, when it comes to loving change, she is a 99. That’s not a guess. It’s the actual score this Cox Communications vice president received on The Birkman Method personality test she took at work while leading the Northern Virginia business sector.

The ability to thrive in times of change certainly came in handy for Falk during the past two years. Cox Communications and Cox Business teams saw a huge swing in the network as customers worked and learned from home.

“People had to be connected to the internet,” Falk says. “They wanted to be connected to video more than ever. Our employees played such an important role in keeping our technicians out there safely, protecting them but making sure that they were still doing calls and installs, and trouble calls for customers.”

Giving back during the pandemic was another big priority for Falk. Cox — which has 2,500 employees in the Northern Virginia area — expanded its Connect2Compete program…
