The cost to attend Greater Washington’s major colleges and universities has largely shifted since fall of 2019, with some institutions returning to typical tuition hikes in 2021 after the coronavirus pandemic hit, and others maintaining last year’s ticket price for a largely hybrid model of education.
Bowie State University and the University of Maryland increased the cost of tuition this year after pausing their usual uptick following the pandemic, while others kept tuition static from the 2020-21 academic year. At least two universities gave a discount for tuition in 2020, but was back to normal prices this year.
