Arlington Capital Partners unveils merger plans for new buy

A little over a month after Arlington Capital Partners LLC purchased McLean software consulting firm MCR LLC, it will now merge it with an Alexandria company it acquired Wednesday.

The Chevy Chase venture firm said in a statement it has acquired Systems Planning & Analysis Inc. from New York private equity firm CM Equity Partners and plans to merge it with MCR upon the close of the transaction, which is expected “in the coming weeks.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but ACP did note in its statement that SPA President and CEO William Vantine will serve in the same role of the combined enterprise.

That combination will create a company — one whose new name was not disclosed — possessing analytics, system engineering, software development, program management and other services across a deep federal portfolio.
