- Few rain drops possible
- Mid-March chill returns Thursday
- Weekend 50-50 split
- 80s by Sunday
WEDNESDAY
Cloudy, few AM showers
Turning partly cloudy, breezy
Highs: 68-74
Winds: Northwest 5-15, gusts 20-30 mph
It’s noticeably milder this morning with wake-up temperatures in the 50s. An isolated shower is possible through mid-morning, as a cold front slides through. Winds will then shift out of the northwest behind the front, so it will be breezy during the afternoon with added sunshine.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
Clear to partly cloudy
Lows: 42-49
Winds: North 5-10 mph
Dry weather is expected tonight with cooler overnight lows. You’ll also notice the waning gibbous moon shining bright in the sky.
THURSDAY
Partly sunny
Highs: 57-63
Winds: Northeast 5-10 mph
Plan for a cool, April day behind Wednesday’s cold front. High temperatures will struggle to reach 60 degrees in some neighborhoods. Our average daytime high for late April is now 71, so high temperatures will be a good 10 degrees below normal.
FRIDAY
Mostly Sunny
Highs: 63-66
Winds: Southeast 5-10 mph
We’ll round out the week continued cool. There’s a chance for patchy frost early in the morning, especially in our western suburbs. Daytime highs will be a few degrees higher than Thursday, but still below the seasonal average. It will be dry for your Friday and Friday night plans.
LOOKING AHEAD TO THE WEEKEND:
Plan for big temperature swings this weekend. Saturday will be the cooler weekend day with highs in the 60s. Sunday will be dramatically warmer with highs in the mid-80s. High temperatures will stay in the 80s into early next week.
