TODAY:

Winds: Northwest 5-15 mph
We’ll round out the week with high temperatures remaining nearly 10 degrees below average.Temperatures are below freezing this morning, so watch out for icy patches on sidewalks, parking lots, and on the roads. Ample sunshine will continue to help aid in the snow and ice melt later today, but plan on another refreeze tonight.
TONIGHT:
Mainly clear
Lows: 21-27
Winds: Southwest 5 mph
Dry and cold weather is expected overnight, as low temperatures fall into the 20s. Continue to watch for icy patches.
SATURDAY:
Sunny to partly cloudy
Highs: 50s
Winds: West 5-10 mph
It’s a forecast to love on Valentine’s Day! It will be a freezing cold start, but temperatures will climb into the 50s by the afternoon. With relatively light winds and sunshine, expect a lot more snow to melt. If you have dinner plans, temperatures will fall into the 40s, so it won’t be terribly cold.
SUNDAY:
Mostly cloudy
PM Showers
Highs: 40s
Winds: East 5-10 mph
First Alert Weather is tracking our next weather maker that will bring areas of rain to the DMV. Rain showers in the D.C. Metro area are most likely during the afternoon and evening hours. Rainfall totals will range from .25 – .50″. There’s still a chance a few wet snowflakes could mix in at night; however, no snowfall accumulation is expected with temperatures well above freezing.
PRESIDENTS’ DAY MONDAY:
Mostly cloudy
Highs: 46-52
Winds: Northeast 5-10 mph
The wet weather will have exited the region, but clouds will be tough to clear. Temperatures will start off above freezing, in the mid 30s and then will climb into the upper 40s to low 50s by the afternoon. This will set the stage for an entire week ahead of above average highs in the 50s!
