Competitor Sales for Amazon Prime Day 2018

Competing retailers wanting a piece of the Prime Day pie will be running their own sales concurrently. These are the top ones to watch:

Dell. Dell announced its Black Friday in July sale (July 2 to July 16) and Cyber Week in July sale (July 16 to July 23) the day before Amazon announced Prime Day.

Plenty of laptops, desktops, gaming PCs, monitors and accessories are on sale during these promotions. And during the daily limited-supply doorbusters, you’ll find laptops priced as low as $129.99.

EBay. The e-commerce site announced it will be entering the ring with Amazon starting July 16. Thousands of items will be on sale, including electronics, smart home devices, home decor items and clothing from brands such as Apple, Samsung, KitchenAid and more. No specific deals have been announced. But note that eBay just launched a new Best Price Guarantee feature. If you find an eligible item at a lower price at an eligible retailer (the list includes Amazon, by the way), eBay will give you an eBay coupon worth 110 percent of the price difference.

Macy’s. On July 9, Macy’s begins its Black Friday in July sale. July 9 to July 15, select departments will offer 25 percent off. Click through to the sale from the Macy’s homepage to see eligible items. Certain items are also eligible for free shipping. No minimum order is required. Plus, on eligible items, which are marked on the website, use promo code JULY to get an extra 25 percent off.
