Find Medical Schools Where Grads Get Preferred Residencies
After four years of medical school, an aspiring physician typically moves on to the next phase of his or her training: a residency within an area of medicine, such as primary care, radiology or psychiatry.

Use Career Goals to Inform a Medical School Search
Aspiring physicians have a variety of medical careers to choose from, including professions that focus strictly on treating patients or solely on research, but there are also careers that combine clinical and research medicine, such as medical school faculty positions. When comparing medical schools, it’s important to investigate whether the school excels in preparing students for both primary care careers and specialty medicine jobs or if it excels in only one area.
