There are many advantages to attending a National University, since these institutions offer a full range of undergraduate majors, plus master’s and doctoral programs. But some of these schools — especially those that are private — can be costly.
Tuition and fees among the 10 most expensive National Universities, which are all private institutions, average $54,232 for the 2017-2018 academic year, U.S. News data show. These schools charge on average $10,000 more than the average sticker price — $42,444 — at all 112 ranked private National Universities, according to data the schools submitted to U.S. News.
