Chapman – Beverley Mill

Historic gristmill originally built in 1742. The Mill was the site of the Battle of Thoroughfare Gap (1862) and is a National Register of Historic Places and Virginia Landmark site. Destroyed by arson in 1998, the Mill has been preserved as a ruin.
