WASHINGTON — A toddler is in critical condition tonight after being hit by a car in Temple Hills.
The Prince George’s County police say it happened at about 5:30 p.m. at Saint Barnabas and Stamp Roads.
ABC7’s Roz Plater tells WTOP that the boy and his parents were crossing St. Barnabas Road in dark, rainy conditions, and that they weren’t in a crosswalk. The police say that the boy was pinned under the car; police spokeswoman Corporal Nicole Hubbard says that “some Good Samaritans” lifted the car off him.
ABC7 later reported that the boy is three years old; the police are continuing to investigate.
The driver got out of the car and stayed on scene, Plater says, adding that there is no talk of charges.
