Md. woman pleads guilty in child pornography case

GREENBELT, Md. (AP) — Prosecutors say a 26-year-old Montgomery County woman will be sentenced to eight years in prison after she pleaded guilty to transporting child pornography.

Katherine Noelle Nash of Burtonsville pleaded guilty Thursday as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.

Prosecutors say that under terms of the plea agreement, Nash will be sentenced to eight years in prison Feb. 2, followed by a lifetime of supervised release.

According to the plea agreement, Nash sent videos depicting prepubescent children engaging in sexually explicit conduct to an undercover officer in September 2013. After authorities searched two computers, they say they found hundreds more images and videos, including one showing Nash sexually molesting a 5-year-old girl.

In exchange for her plea, prosecutors dropped two charges of sexually exploiting children against Nash.
