BALTIMORE (AP) — Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Larry Hogan are making their final campaign pushes in the Maryland governor’s race.

Brown, a Democrat, voted Tuesday morning with his wife and mother in Upper Marlboro. Brown then visited polling sites during the day.

The Republican Hogan voted near his home in Edgewater with his wife. Hogan moved on to greet customers at Chick and Ruth’s Delly in Annapolis.

Brown is looking to make Maryland history by becoming the state’s first black governor. A victory by Brown also would burnish the credentials of Democratic Gov. Martin O’Malley as O’Malley considers a 2016 presidential run.

Hogan is seeking an upset in a state where registered Democrats outnumber Republicans 2-1.
