WASHINGTON — It’s still possible to catch playoff baseball action at Camden Yards without spending a fortune.
Ticket prices for ALCS Game 2 at home, Baltimore Orioles vs. Kansas City Royals, range from about $100 to $700 at last check. Tickets from brokers for prices that far exceed that likely are being offered by season ticket holders still deciding whether they want to go themselves.
A selection of Game 2 prices from GreatSeats.com shows upper level outfield seats start at about $100. Downstairs outfield seats are about $150 a piece. Prices to get between the bases downstairs start around $250 but go up to $700 for tickets behind the Orioles dugout.
Fans considering flying west with the Orioles for Game 3, and possibly beyond, may be happy to learn ticket prices tend to be cheaper in Missouri than Maryland.
The average ALCS ticket price for Royals’ home games at Ewing M. Kauffman Stadium is $402.30 according to TiqIQ.com, which finds the average for all possible Orioles’ home games to be $473.29 at last check.
Standing room only tickets at Camden Yards begin below $100 on StubHub.com at last check.
The Baltimore Orioles website says tickets will be offered for sale as, and if, they become available. The team will also open playoff ticket options to people making a “commitment to back the birds” by buying season tickets for 2015.
