HANOVER, Md. (AP) — Police in Anne Arundel County say they have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of a gas station clerk in August.
Police said Saturday that 26-year-old Robin Tyrone Smith Jr. of Glen Burnie has been arrested and charged with first degree murder and other charges.
Police say Smith was the man who shot 49 -year-old Rajinder Kumar of Glen Burnie during an Aug. 7 robbery of an Exxon station in Hanover. The crime was recorded on surveillance video.
Authorities had been offering reward money totaling up to $27,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.
Smith did not appear to have a listed telephone number.
