FORT MEADE, Md. (AP) — Maryland officials are announcing $10 million in federal funding to widen Route 175 at Fort Meade.
Sen. Barbara Mikulski and Sen. Ben Cardin are scheduled to attend the announcement on Monday. Maryland Department of Transportation Secretary Jim Smith also is scheduled to attend, along with Howard County Executive Ken Ulman and Anne Arundel County Executive Laura Neuman.
The project is aimed at cutting congestion and making the road safer.
Federal funding will be matched by $30 million in Maryland state and federal formula funding.
