WHATS’S AT STAKE

After a Southeastern Conference-opening loss against South Carolina, Georgia has firmly established itself as the class of the East Division with four wins in a row — including last week’s 34-0 throttling of Missouri. The Bulldogs, once again facing the prospect of playing without Heisman Trophy hopeful Todd Gurley, hope to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive when the face their first SEC West opponent in Arkansas. The Razorbacks are desperate to end a 15-game SEC losing streak.

The Bulldogs, led by linebacker Amarlo Herrera’s 47 tackles, are second in the SEC in rushing defense — allowing 101.7 yards per game on the ground. PLAYERS TO WATCH

Georgia: With Gurley out last week, 5-foot-10, 228-pound Nick Chubb filled in nicely for the Bulldogs in the win over Missouri. The freshman touched the ball 42 times (38 carries, 4 catches) and accounted for 174 yards of total offense.

Arkansas: Collins had his worst game of the season in last week’s 14-13 loss to Alabama, missing the first quarter because of a suspension following a pair of missed workouts and finishing with only 13 yards rushing on six carries. Despite the setback, the sophomore is still fourth in the SEC in rushing with an average of 105.7 yards per game.
