FRONT ROYAL, Va. (AP) — Front Royal residents are no longer being asked to conserve water.
The town lifted its request for residents to voluntarily conserve water last week. The request was issued at the end of September after the south fork of the Shenandoah River’s flow rate dropped.

Water treatment plant superintendent Mike Kisner tells The Northern Virginia Daily (http://bit.ly/1yCyMiZ ) that recent precipitation increased river levels. But the area still needs rain.
The voluntary measures included reducing watering lawns and shortening shower or bath time.
