DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Anthony Jordan ran for two touchdowns to lead Bethune-Cookman to a 49-12 victory over Howard on Saturday night.
Jordan scored from the 3 to cap the Wildcats opening drive. His 79-yard touchdown run gave Bethune-Cookman a 28-12 lead early in the third quarter. Jordan finished with 102 yards on 11 carries, and now has 1,006 career rushing yards.
Larry Brihm threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Jhomo Gordon and ran for another score. Cary White, Quentin Williams and Jamaruz Thompkins also added rushing touchdowns for Bethune-Cookman (5-1, 2-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).
John Fleck kicked a 46-yard field goal and Greg McGhee ran for a 1-yard touchdown for Howard (1-6, 0-4). McGhee was 20 of 39 for 207 yards passing.
Bethune-Cookman has won three straight since being routed 41-7 by Central Florida on Sep. 20.
