SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) — A woman is fighting for her life Tuesday and police are looking for the man who stabbed her during a robbery attempt in Montgomery County.
Police say the 31-year-old woman was walking in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Piney Branch Road in Silver Spring on Monday evening when a man tried to rob her and then stabbed her repeatedly.
A passer-by called 911 and the man fled. The woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Police say they set up a perimeter using police dogs and patrol officers but couldn’t find the attacker.
