Federal marshal assaulted on trail, catches attacker

WASHINGTON – A Pittsburgh teen picked the wrong woman to mess with when he groped the buttocks and pulled down the pants of a U.S. marshal earlier this week.

The marshal was running along a popular recreation trail about 5 p.m. Tuesday when she was attacked by 19-year-old Robert Flynn, according to KDKA.

Flynn had been standing along the trail when the marshal passed him and he began to follow her. After she was grabbed she ran after him yelling “Federal marshal, stop,” according to KDKA.

She chased him into a nearby apartment complex, kicked him in the groin and punched him in the face to subdue the much larger Flynn, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Flynn faces charges including aggravated assault and indecent assault.
