WASHINGTON — The D.C. police are asking the public’s help after a woman was assaulted in Northwest on Sunday.
The police say the woman was near Oliver Street and Western Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. when a man approached her with a knife. They say he tried to take off the woman’s clothes, but was unsuccessful. The woman ran away.
The suspect is described as black, in his 30s and tall, with a dark complexion. He was wearing a dark hat, one black shoe and one white shoe, dark gloves, a white long-sleeve button-down shirt and black pants.
Anyone with information should call the police at 202-727-9099 or text 50411. DC Crime Solvers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
