Suspect in Prince George’s double murder in custody

WASHINGTON — UPDATE: Prince George’s County Police have apprehended a suspect in the murder of two women found dead in an Oxon Hill, Maryland apartment on Saturday.

Malcolm Paul Thomas, 54, of the 5500 block of Chloe Drive in Oxon Hill, was arrested late Saturday in Wakefield, Virginia, by the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a police release, Thomas is charged with two counts of first degree murder. He is currently in custody in Wakefield, Virginia, awaiting extradition back to Prince George’s County. The investigation is ongoing.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a double murder in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

On August 2, shortly before 8 a.m., patrol officers were called to the 5500 block of Chloe Drive. When they arrived, officers found two women inside a home suffering from trauma to the body.

They were both pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives believe these murders are related to a domestic situation.
