LANCASTER, N.Y. (AP) — A 3-year-old girl has drowned in a backyard swimming pool in New York, and her 4-year-old brother has been rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
The Buffalo News reports (http://bit.ly/1tMOuHl ) that the two children were unresponsive when they were pulled from the above-ground pool Friday night in Lancaster.
The children were taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Cheektowaga (cheek-tuh-WAH’-guh), where the girl died.
Her brother was later transported to Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. He is listed in critical condition.
