DOSWELL, Va. (AP) — The organizers of the State Fair of Virginia are taking to the road to promote the exposition.
They’ve launched “Ginny,” a bus traveling in the Richmond and Fredericksburg areas this summer and fall. State Fair Facebook fans came up with the name, short for Virginia.
The bus made its debut last weekend at the Hanover Tomato Festival. “Ginny” is also being featured in television ads, which will air in September.
Upcoming stops include a Richmond Flying Squirrels game and Celebrate Virginia in Fredericksburg.
The fair opens Sept. 26 at The Meadow Event Park in Caroline County. It runs through Oct. 5.
