Steelers’ Tomlin heads home to Va. with NFL players

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) — Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is heading home to Virginia, followed by an all-star roster of NFL players with Hampton Roads roots.

Tomlin is due back in his Newport News hometown Friday for the 6th Gridiron Legends Tailgate Party presented by the Hampton Roads Youth Foundation.

Besides Tomlin, NFL players expected to attend include Seattle’s Percy Harvin, Baltimore’s Tyrod Taylor, the Steelers’ Shamarko Thomas, Buffalo’s EJ Manuel and the Jet’s Tajh Boyd, among others.

The event will be held at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.

The Hampton Roads Youth Foundation provides educational, social and economic programs for young people in the region.
