GLEN BURNIE, Md. (AP) — Police say a man stabbed an acquaintance in a residential area of Glen Burnie after following the victim during an argument.
John Dumsha has been charged with attempted second-degree murder following the stabbing on Friday evening.
Anne Arundel County police say Dumsha was arguing with a 27-year-old man, who then left in a car, with Dumsha following. Police say Dumsha got out of his car at a traffic light and tried to fight the victim, and then he continued the fight once the victim parked his car.
Police say Dumsha approached the victim with a knife. The victim tried to defend himself with a shovel, but police say Dumsha stabbed him in the chest.
The victim was taken to a trauma center for treatment. Dumsha was arrested on the scene.
