WASHINGTON – A man has been charged in connection with a series of assaults on women, including two assaults inside a bathroom at Dulles Town Center, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office has charged Meredith S. Wyatt, 23, of Sterling, Virginia, with five counts of simple assault.
A 27-year-old woman helped police identify Wyatt on June 2 after he was connected to an assault at a grocery store, police said.
The suspect was identified on June 2nd after he was connected to an assault that occurred at a grocery store near the Sterling Plaza Shopping Center, according to a Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office release. In that case, the woman was touched inappropriately twice as she walked away from the man. Two of the five simple assault counts against Wyatt are connected to that grocery store incident.
Two other incidents occurred at Dulles Town Center in May, according to police. In a May 14 incident, a 62-year-old woman was inside a women’s bathroom when a person touched her from an adjacent stall and then fled the bathroom. In another incident May 30, a 16-year-old female was in a bathroom stall when a man grabbed her by reaching underneath the stall. The suspect left after the teenager screamed.
Wyatt also has been charged in connection with an incident May 25, when a 57-year- old female was walking along W. Holly Avenue and was grabbed from behind, police said.
Wyatt is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
