OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) — Four Republican candidates for governor in Maryland are continuing their attacks on tax increases
The candidates debated Monday at Maryland Public Television in Owings Mills.
Del. Ron George of Anne Arundel County says he was the first candidate to comb through audits to find waste in state government to help find savings in the state budget.
Larry Hogan, a candidate who also is from Anne Arundel County, says his grassroots political group called Change Maryland has been a leading voice of opposition.
Harford County Executive David Craig says he has had kept the books balanced for years as county executive. Charles County businessman Charles Lollar says he would cut taxes and reduce overbearing government regulations.
The debate won’t air until Friday at 7 p.m.
The primary is June 24.
