FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — Officials in Frederick are assessing the damage from an early morning fire at the Dairy Maid Dairy near downtown Frederick.
Frederick County Fire and Rescue Service Lt. Jeff Shippey tells The Frederick News-Post (http://bit.ly/1hBgRW6)k the warehouse fire was caused by a faulty compressor. He says no one was hurt in the blaze.
Shippey says about 75 firefighters responded to the call about 5 a.m. He says it took them 15 to 20 minutes to contain the bulk of the fire at the plant on East Seventh Street.
Dairy Maid is a milk-processing company established in 1894.
