WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) — A runaway goat has been captured by officials in Carroll County.
Carroll County Animal Control workers have been trying to catch the goat for nearly a week. He’s been spotted at a gas station and the parking lot of a Catholic church. He even caused a school to go on lockdown.
Officials finally caught the goat Thursday at a residence on Sykesville Road.
Senior Animal Control Officer Mike Keiner says the goat has ear tags which may enable officials to track where he came from. Keiner says officials believe the goat may have come from Texas, and officials are looking for its owner.
If the owner isn’t found, Carroll County Animal Control says it’s already received offers to adopt the goat.
