MLB analyst tossed from son’s little league game

WASHINGTON – Deadspin is reporting that MLB Network analyst Mitch Williams was thrown out of a youth baseball game in Maryland Saturday.

Williams was coaching his son’s 10U Jersey Wild team, which was playing in a Ripken Baseball tournament.

Parents who attended the game tell Deadspin that Williams complained about calls through the game, cursed at the umpires and went nose-to-nose with one of the umps at one point during the game. Williams had to be physically separated from the referee, according to Deadspin.

Williams tweeted Sunday morning that the ump threatened him and it was the umpire who was out of control. He also says he was embarrassed and that he planned to speak with Ripken Baseball.
