WASHINGTON — Members of Congress say they’re frustrated by a report that an Environmental Protection Agency employee was watching up to six hours of porn every day and hasn’t been fired.
During a House oversight hearing it was revealed that the employee downloaded a lot of porn onto a government computer.
An agent from the Inspector General’s office found the man sitting at his desk, watching porn, when the agent went to interview the man.
“The OIG’s investigation determined that the employee downloaded and viewed more than 7,000 pornographic files during duty hours,” the Inspector General’s office reported.
The employee — who annually earns $125,000 a year — is now the focus of a Justice Department investigation, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
“When we have an employee who is looking at over 600 porn sites in a four-day period – and it’s there in black and white – fire them!” said Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, during the hearing.
