RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Dominion Resources’ charitable foundation is offering $500,000 in environmental grants in Virginia.
The Richmond-based energy provider is encouraging groups to apply for the grants aimed at supporting environmental stewardship initiatives.
Grants for up to $25,000 each are available for projects that focus on specific, short-term projects that promise measurable results to improve the environment.
The application deadline is May 30. Recipients will be announced in August.
Dominion Resources Inc. is one of the nation’s largest producers and transporters of energy and serves retail customers in 15 states.
